Michelle D. Chambers is a native of Fort Wayne. Prior to returning home to the Summit City, she was a Redevelopment Project Manager with the City of Carson, California where she managed affordable housing projects, as well as the department’s Local Hire Initiative. Chambers’ public service career spans two decades. Her unique combination of education (BA in Child Development, MA of Public Administration) and business experience has given her the opportunity to work closely with community and economic, development, redevelopment and human services programs of all types. Additionally, she’s a National Urban Fellow Graduate class of 2011 “Americas Leaders of Change.”
